Megan Wannarka

From apprenticing with a small commercial beekeeper and her work as a Peace Corps volunteer in West Africa and the Caribbean, Megan saw the importance of learning the plants that honeybees, and many pollinators depend on. Her curiosity and plant research became Bee.otany with the help of Michael Sedlacek and working for Worker B.

You may know Michael as the mind behind Worker B, a hive derived skincare line found in the Mall of America and Spirit of America. As Twin cities native Michael’s broad knowledge of all things local; His push and support helped bring Bee.otany to life.
Temuri Balakhashvili
Board Member
Temo hails from the eastern European country of Georgia. In Georgia he specialized in Agronomy for cattle forage. Many of his pictures inform Bee.otany’s work and lends an international perspective and eye. Currently he keeps 30 hives of honeybees (Apis mellifera) for is company Stray Pine Honey. Also, he works at the University of Minnesota in the Krischik Lab with Bumble bees (Bombus impatient), Painted Lady butterflies (Vanessa cardui) and Monarch butterflies (Danaus plexippus).
